Caring Ministries
Garfield Memorial United Methodist
congregation members actively participate in a wide variety of ministries,
missions and outreach. Ministry development is a process in which we allow
God to use each of our special talents to continue to grow spiritually and to
help others.
Prayer and Care Notes/Card Ministry
Booklets offering comfort to individuals experiencing specific
difficult times in all stages of life are shared with people during home
and hospital visitation. Birthday greetings as well as messages of
encouragement, prayer and sympathy are sent. |

New Baby Welcome
We celebrate the birth of a new baby in our church with gifts, showing the love and support of the congregation.
Homebound/Nursing Home Visitation
Individuals make regular visits to members of the congregation who
can no longer actively participate in church activities to provide
fellowship and connection with the church, communion and devotional
materials. |

Tape Ministry
Garfield's Tape Ministry provides audio tapes of portions of
worship services for shut-ins and others who could not be at the service.
The taped portions always include the Scripture reading and the sermon.
Sometimes the choir and/or soloists are included in the taping.
